Ne, ich meine die Neokonservativen in Washington. Offenkundig haben sie sich da einen Saddam Abbott oder Greg Bin Calvin oder so eingetreten, der dringend regime change bedarf. Da ist auch noch ein bisschen Erdöl falls das hilft. Und die Drogenkartelle in Mexiko stehen ja sowie auf der Abschuss-Todo-Liste. Ich habe gehört die können in Texas einfach so frei die Grenze passieren!!

Tatsächlich ein bisschen faszinierend, Johnson scheint die Republikaner im Repräsentantenhaus Schritt für Schritt zur Normalität zurückführen zu wollen. Die letzte Verlängerung des Haushalts wurde schon ohne große Verhandlungen mit den Demokraten durchgewunken. Und jetzt versucht er sich tatsächlich an einem richtigen Haushalt:

Bemerkenswert ist schonmal der "minibus", also dass das die einzelne Haushaltsgesetze doch wieder im Paket zugesammengefasst abgestimmt werden sollen - wenn auch hier kein "omnibus". Diese Praxis zu unterlassen war eine der wenigen Forderungen als es um die Abwahl von McCarthy ging.
Vorallem senkt Johnson aber auch direkt die Erwartung, dass dieses Gesetzesbündel irgendwelche radikalen Vorstellungen der Republikaner umsetzen würde:
