Es ist ein historischer Schritt: Die EU wird wegen Rechtsstaatsverstößen gegen Ungarn vorgehen. Das hat Kommissionspräsidentin von der Leyen mitgeteilt. Dem Land droht nun unter anderem die Kürzung von EU-Geldern.
Aber es macht dennoch den Eindruck, dass das Land für diese Haltung bestraft werden soll, schließlich hat man mit der Ahndung der rechtsstaatlicher Mängel so lange gewartet. So kommt das wohl auch in Ungarn an.
