ZitatAlles anzeigenA Russian Geran-4 jet-drone impacted a plane at Zhulanyi Airport in Kyiv today, resulting in a large fire breaking out.
According to my information, the strike occurred on the western side of the airport (in the area marked on the map), impacting one of the aircraft sitting there. Zhulanyi Airport has not been in operation for civilian purposes since the beginning of the war.
De facto U.S. envoy to Putin Steve Witcoff and U.S. Special Envoy for Peace Jared Kushner are set to arrive in in Kyiv via plane on Saturday, landing at Boryspil Airport just east of the city, which would mark the first flight into Ukraine by a foreign official since the beginning of the war.
It's possible that this is a signalling strike by Russia ahead of this unprecedented flight into Ukraine. The presence of American officials in Kyiv would also likely disrupt Russia's ongoing large-scale strike campaign against Kyiv.

Vielleicht ist das aber auch nur ein Gerücht:

ZitatWitkoff, Kushner Rumored to Visit Moscow Before Kyiv on Sept. 5-6
In brief: Trump’s envoys Kushner and Witkoff are reportedly set to visit Moscow before Kyiv to promote trilateral talks between Ukraine, Russia and the US on Sept. 5-6. A Russian drone reportedly struck two Soviet-era planes at Zhulyany Airport, but claims about the envoys’ planned flight remain unconfirmed.
Zitat“Witkoff and Kushner were supposed to fly to Kyiv on Sunday after visiting Moscow on Saturday. The most interesting thing about this sentence is that they WERE TO ARRIVE in Boryspil by plane. This was at the stage of agreement. The Americans were skeptical, but were close enough to agree,” Honcharenko wrote.
ZitatAt present, apart from Honcharenko’s reports, there is no official information confirming that planes were destroyed at Zhulyany Airport during the drone attack. The information that Trump’s envoys were supposed to arrive in Kyiv by plane also remains officially unconfirmed.
